Asian Hot Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 pounds Chicken Wings

Marinade

  • 1/2 cup Sriracha Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sesame Oil
  • 3 tbsp Honey
  • 2 cloves Garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh Ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 Spring Onions, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Cornflour
  • 1/2 cup Lime Juice

To Serve

  • Sesame Seeds
  • Sprinkle of chopped Spring Onions.

Directions

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the marinade apart from the cornflour together. Save a couple of spoons of the spring onions for garnishing.
  2. Put the chicken wings in a large bowl.
  3. Pour 1/2 of the marinade over the top.
  4. Place, covered, in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight. Store remaining marinade in refrigerator also.
  5. When ready, place wings in a pressure cooker, with a 1/4 cup water and set to the soup function for 10 minutes.
  6. Carefully release pressure before opening lid. Take wings out using a tong and place on a baking tray lined with foil.
  7. Mix cornflour into the remaining marinade and drizzle over the top, making sure they are all covered.
  8. Place tray under a hot grill or broiler and cook for another 10 – 15 minutes turning a few times. This crisps up the wings and makes the sauce really sticky.
  9. Finish by sprinkling on some sesame seeds and the leftover spring onions.
