BBQ Bacon Cheese Bomb Recipe

Ingredients

Makes 5 mini bacon bombs. Adjust the recipe as needed for your party.

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • BBQ Dry Rub, Store-bought or Homemade
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese or your choice of another Cheese, grated
  • 20 slices Bacon
  • Your Favorite BBQ Sauce, Store-bought or Homemade
  • 5 Skewers

Directions




  1. Divide the ground beef in roughly 5 equal portions.
  2. Take 1 portion and make a patty out of it.
  3. Sprinkle BBQ dry rub on it, turning it over to coat it completely.
  4. Add a pinch of cheese to the center and fold over the patty.
  5. Form the patty into the shape of your palm.
  6. Wrap the bomb in two layers of bacon
  7. Place the bomb on a skewer.
  8. Do the same with the remaining 4 portions of ground beef.
  9. Smoke the bombs on the grill or in the oven at 350°F for about 20 minutes, turning to cook evenly, or until the beef is cooked through and the bacon is crisp.
  10. In the last 5 minutes mop the bombs with barbecue sauce.
