Here in the South we always add some bacon or a bit of pork to a pot of green beans. Bacon brings out the flavor of the beans in a way that is almost magical. Bacon-Wrapped Green Bean Bundles are a “party friendly” version of this Southern Magic.
Bacon-Wrapped Green Bean Bundles
I found this wonderful recipe in the 2018 Food Issue of Arkansas Food & Farm Magazine.
I love the fact that they included a sprinkle of brown sugar (which always makes bacon taste better!) but thought these needed a bit of heat to make them perfect. I used a new Sriracha seasoning I found recently. I liked the result.
I think you will, too.
