Bacon-Wrapped Hearts of Palm with Pesto Recipe
Materials
- 5 strips Bacon sliced in 1/2 lengthwise
- 5 whole Hearts of Palm from 1 15-ounce can, halved lengthwise
- Light Brown Sugar or BBQ Rub, of choice for dusting
- 1/3 cup Basil PestoChimichurri or other Dipping Sauce, of choice for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Wrap bacon around each heart of palm.
- Place bacon-wrapped hearts of palm on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place the sides with the ends of the bacon down, so they don't unravel.
- Dust with brown sugar or BBQ rub.
- Place in preheated oven and bake until the bacon is browned and crisp on the underside, about 20 minutes.
- Turn each over and bake for about 10 minutes longer, until bacon is crisp all over.
- Serve warm, with pesto, chimichurri or other dipping sauce.
